EV Smart only accesses your location to find nearby charging stations. We don't store it, share it, or send it to our own servers. No accounts, no tracking, no ads.
EV Smart is a mobile app that helps you find nearby electric vehicle charging stations. This policy explains what information the app uses, how it's used, and what we don't do with it. We believe privacy should be simple and honest, so we've written this in plain language.
The only information EV Smart accesses is your device's location. The app requests:
Location is only used on your device to query nearby charging stations. We do not collect, record, or transmit your location to any server we operate.
Your location is used for one purpose only:
Finding EV charging stations near you by querying the OpenChargeMap public API.
We do not use your location for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond showing you nearby charging stations. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
EV Smart uses three public APIs to power its features. None of them receive any personal information about you — only the coordinates needed to serve results.
Your approximate coordinates are sent to fetch nearby station listings.

Start and destination coordinates are sent to calculate a route.

Your search query is sent to look up addresses and places.
nominatim.openstreetmap.org
These are all public APIs. No account credentials or personal identifiers are sent to any of them.
We do not store any data. EV Smart has no backend servers, no databases, and no accounts. Nothing you do in the app is saved anywhere outside your device. Your location is used in-memory only while the app is running and is never written to disk or sent to us.
EV Smart is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, there is nothing specific to children that could be retained or misused.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version here with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page occasionally. Continued use of EV Smart after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
